Yes, my favourite kind of story is when an unlikely team gets together to solve problems and ends up cooperating really well! I could read any number of those. :)
I've not read any of the Anita Blake books—I think I wasn't much of a fantasy reader back in the day when they were good, and haven't got into them in retrospect. I did quite like the first couple of Kitty Norville books, but went off them after the semi-mandatory skinwalker book. I love Tori Centanni's Henri Dunn series, meanwhile, and wish there would be more, but it seems to be officially a trilogy. :( I shall just keep rereading them, I guess...
